Connection Speed – Know your market. If you think your market is on dial up modem, the site needs to reflect that.
  Screen Size – What type of computer screen/resolution will your customer be viewing the web site on? 
   Operating Systems - Is your web site going to be viewed on a Mac or PC or both?
  Browser – Make sure the site will play on the major web browsers in both Mac & PC.
   Content – Do you want your site to provide viewers with a wealth of information about your company, or just a taste and make them contact you to get the entire content (by offering free items, etc.)?
   Photos – Do you want stock photos or photos unique to your business?
   Domain name – Should the domain name be about your business or the name of your company?
   Bandwidth – How many people do you anticipate visiting the site at once?
   Contact Forms – Do you want the visitor to contact you to get additional information?
   Site Goals – Share information, shopping cart, blog?
   Secondary uses – Is your site customer interactive, also for internal use, etc?
   What will get the customer to come back – Newsletters, special prices, etc?

Are search engines a main source of traffic?

What are similar companies doing on their web sites?

What do you like about the competition’s web site?

What do you dislike about the competition’s web site?
